John Brugal is an LA-based writer/director who works at the nexus of dark, inventive comedy. His work has been published on McSweeney's Internet Tendency and featured on stage at The Groundlings and UCB. His short film KING ALPHA premiered at the Kansas City Film Festival and online at Film Shortage. His short AT 30 WE THROW DINNER PARTIES was nominated for best short at the Austin Comedy Film Festival. His latest short MATINÉE is playing film festivals in 2024.
